Gender/Species: He's a Male Human.

Appearance:
To many, the first word that pops into their head when they see Nunzio is a screaming 'VAMPIRE!'. His style of dress, pale skin, crimson eyes, and black hair certainly seem to lend credit to this thought. To put it simply, Nunzio dresses dark, very dark. His typical atttire does not have much in the way of color, except for the color black. Usually, his attire is a black trench coat over a black shirt, and black pants. His clothing is quite flamboyant, and what one would expect from a noble, rather than one who used to be a peasant. His clothing simply screams elegance. Over his trench coat is a bright crimson cape--one of the sole bits of color aside from the occasional white and gold, and his brown leather belt. (Sorry, I can't really describe the subtle designs of the clothing of the picture.) When he decides to use his Xenzin alias, he dons a full body purple cloak that obscures his body and his face.
To be honest, the title of 'The Count' certainly seems to be quite appropriate, and not just for his clothes. Nunzio usually wears something to protect him from the sun, usually it's his hat. In addition to that, he likes the privacy of the night. Thanks to these two, his skin is understandably pale. His eyes are another factor to his title--they are crimson red, as if they were pools of blood.
Nunzio is a strong man, or at least, he exercises enough that he is not weak muscularly. He makes certain to exercise regularly in order to maintain this muscularity. He stands at a rather modest 5'7", and weighs a mere 150 lbs or so. He's neither too tall, nor too short, and that's just the way he likes it. He has dark black hair cut short and neatly.
Nunzio is set apart by few things, however, the one thing that always does stand out, is a tattoo on the back of his right hand. That is where his GF resides. Also, on his forehead, slightly obscured by his hat--but still visible--is the symbol of his god, Gabriel. Other than that, and what I have already told you, there is not much unique about him.
Personality: To many, Nunzio is a confusing character. He has two different personalities that come about in various ways, yet only one is his true nature. Outwardly, he appears to be a trickster quite a bit of the time. Indeed, he likes playing the occasional prank, and better yet, he enjoys brightening up peoples days--which is indeed what happens most of the time. He appears to be quite outgoing and funloving, and even a bit naive.
In truth, he is quite a bit different. He is a reserved character that understands that there is no line between right and wrong. Somethings that appear to be good and just on first glance, may in fact make lives miserable. He understands that, and he hates it. He is sure that if it were not for Alexander, he would have went down the wrong path. He loves a good book, and particularly likes learning about culture and magic. Despite that, he often feels depressed. He yearns for acceptance, or rather, for love. He hates having to watch his back whenever he reveals who he is, and in fact, that's why he uses Xenzin. Although it sounds like he's a Nobody, it at least carries less malice to him than Nunzio.
He constantly questions himself. Was what he had done right, or was it wrong? How could you tell? Was he damned to hell, or saved from the everlasting torment? Will I ever find anyone? These questions plague him, day after day, night after night. This is why he doesn't let anyone know his true self.
If one first met him, they would think 'Can he really fight?'. After all, he looks average for the most part, outside of his dark dress at least. The answer, however, would be a resounding yes. He is a skilled fighter, yet strangely, he doesn't want to fight. To him, fights merely cause suffering. That is not to say that if he sees a Nobody or Heartless attacking someone that he won't help. Only, he doesn't like picking fights. He tends to ignore people who try to goad him into fighting with them. He hates needless suffering. That is why he wants to have a keyblade, so that he can end the suffering of many, even at the cost of suffering himself. He almost never acts like this when people are around, but these are his true feelings.He prays to Gabriel on a regular basis, he prays every other day and every Sunday.

Current World: Radiant Garden, though he does travel a lot.

Father: Raoul Devereux |Deceased|
Mother: Claire Devereux |Deceased|
Personal History:
Nunzio was not born an ordinary citizen in Gaia. No, ordinary citizens didn't have the ability to commune with spirits. But then, Nunzio's family had always been far from ordinary.
His father was a knight, and his mother was of the summoner lineage. She had never inherited the gift, and everyone thought it died off forever, with the exception of the lines of Garnet and Eiko. Yet, Nunzio had been the first in a few generations to inherit the gift, and it was far different than what anyone else of the lineage could do. They used gemstones to communicate with the spirits of the summons. In order for Nunzio to summon, they had to track down the location that the summon was the strongest, and then he could communicate with them directly.
At the time, it had scared his parents. You see, they lived in Alexandria, the location where the Great Alexander was the strongest. It had freaked them out when he had told them that he had seen 'An angel in the castle'.
From a young age, he had been raised to be a knight, in order to follow the footsteps of his father. He was trained in swordsmanship from his birth, and once his choosing ceremony began, he chose Gabriel as his God. Shortly thereafter, he was accepted as a junior knight, an apprentice to one of the current knights at that time. Nunzio got lucky, very very lucky.
You see, the first things his parents did when he communicated with Alex, was tell the Queen--Garnet Alexandros-- about it. They had told her everything one day when he was asleep, and naturally, she was overjoyed to learn that she and Eiko were not the only ones anymore. Thus, she ordered Beatrix of Alexandria to prepare him for the responsibility that came with being a Summoner. To them, Summoners kept the balance. His ignorance of that fact was the only reason he did not choose the Neutral God of Balance.
When he was 16 he became a full fledged knight after five years under Beatrix's tutelage. He was not as skilled as his teacher--naturally, she had decades of experience over him--but he was the top knight of his generation. Three years later, things changed.
The Heartless came and attacked. The Heartless showed no mercy to the denizens of Gaia. The Heroes, as they were called, were no match for this foe that they had no idea how to defeat. They each lost, and he too would have died, were it not for Alexander, who arose and protected him. That was when he gained his first--and only--GF. The power that Alexander had shown at that time was too great for him to understand. It was then that he understood why Alexander was one of the strongest Eidolons--as Summons were called there. That was the only reason he lived while the rest of his planet was torn asunder..
~~~~
After the destruction of his planet, Nunzio wondered aimlessly for a while. His parents were gone, his mentor was gone...his planet was gone. He had little to live for. Had it not been for the soothing presence of Alexander--who had junctioned himself to him when he defended Nunzio--he would probably have killed himself. Yet he still had talents, and he intended to put them to use.
When he awoke, he was on a foreign planet, a planet he had never seen before. He would later learn that this planet was known as Radiant Garden. That was when he met the RGRUC. In exchange for a place to live temporarily, he agreed to help them with whatever they needed done. For the most part, he had to exterminate Heartless when Leon or one of the other major battlers weren't around or on other missions. That suited him just fine, he hated the Heartless for what they had done, and slowly, he began to develop a bloodlust against the heartless. His fighting was not as controlled as it was once before, but it was far more brutal. He channeled his hate through his sword and cleaved each and every Heartless in his way.
As he descended further, he also descended away from Alexander. It finally came to a head two years ago. What would happen one day there, would forever change his life. It would earn him fame and prestige as a Guardian, yet it frightened him..
~~~~
It was March 24th, two years ago. That day, the Heartless had gathered up another army, much like the one that had attacked several decades earlier. Nunzio was on the battlefront, fighting the Heartless that had terrorized him for so long. He was outnumbered, and tried to summon Alexander. Yet...he failed. He panicked, and tried again and again to summon, knowing that if he didn't, he would die like so many others before him. It never worked. He had been ready to accept his fate. He could see the Heartless come closer, and closer, knowing that he had no way to fend them all off. Then time stopped.
"Do you understand your folly?" That voice, that angelic voice of Alexander... For a moment, he didn't understand. It took a moment of searching before he realized. The further he dove into his bloodlust, the further away he got from Alexander. That was why he could not summon him, the GF had not allowed him to summon him.
"I...I pushed you away...it's my fault..." Both knew what he meant. It was his fault that he was about to die. It was his fault that he had not been able to summon the Holy GF. He had given into his darker impulses.
"Indeed. Yet, I must admit. I did not expect you to grasp it so soon.. Perhaps...Perhaps you aren't as foolish as I had thought." The Holy GF's scolding had been justified. He knew that what he had done was abhorrable.
"I shall grant you one last chance, Nunzio Devereux. This is the final chance you have, the final time I will renew my contract to you. Now, summon my might!" The scene that had happened afterward had been engraved in the memories of those who saw it. The green orbs, denoting the summoning of a GF, spiraled around him, catching the eye of Leon who was fighting nearby. Flocks of birds flew overhead, fleeing from a sudden appearance in the great chasm below them. Nunzio whispered two words, the two words that had sealed their victory.
"Holy...Judgement..." Beams of light rained down, seemingly bursting from the great chasms of the earth itself. They rained destruction on the Heartless, and in the end, very few of them remained standing.
That however, was also when he made his decision.
"Alexander."
"Yes, young one?"
"Seal my memories of Seiken and most of my magic. I am no longer worthy to wield it. Once I understand...understand what it means to be...holy for lack of a better word, then and only then may my memories of that sacred style be unsealed."
Since his training, it had been driven into his head that Seiken was only to be used by a person pure of heart and conscience. A person, who would not use it for evil. The darkness that Nunzio saw in himself that day had contradicted that ideology. He felt that if he kept it, he would be tempted.
"It shall be done." That was when he blacked out. Due to the sealing of his magic, his body could no longer handle the strain that summoning Alexander had caused him, causing him to pass out.
When he awoke, it was a known fact that he had summoned Alexander, and that he was the reason that they had come out of the battle so quickly. He hated the attention, he felt that he wasn't worthy of such praise, when he himself nearly damned innocents. He had no doubt that Leon and the others could have probably won eventually, but it would cause numerous injuries and perhaps even deaths. The weight of the fact that he had almost allowed it to happen, sickened him.
That was the last major event in his history.

Goals:
1. Find someone to love
2. Obtain a Keyblade
3. To be normal again.
4. To fully unleash the strength of Alexander
5. To obtain the Bahamut and Eden GFs.
Strengths and Weaknesses: Please state any strengths and weaknesses you have. You need to have at least one of each.
Strengths:
1. He has the GF Alexander.
2. His strength and skill with a sword is remarkable
3. He has experience in the battlefield
4. He's unpredictable with a sword.
5. He's agile and quick
6. He can fly.
Weaknesses:
1. It takes a lot of energy to use Alexander, thus it's a last resort kinda thing.
2. His magic, outside of Alexander and Firaga, is weak. Firaga isn't at the level that most Firaga's would be. But then, not very many people can use Firaga, so it's kinda a tradeoff. Still, his magic outside of Alex is no where near as powerful as many other magic wielders. In addition, his reserves aren't all that large, and so he can't keep casting spells like many can. That is why he has trouble summoning Alexander, though thankfully,despite the much lower strength than normal, it's still more than sufficient for his enemies.
3. Like many people who have strength and speed, his defense and pain tolerance is very very low. This is both physical and magical defense.
4. He has a reluctance to fight another human or anything humanlike. This often makes him hesitate when he's about to strike, or at least, for the first attack or two. This hesitance can cost him dearly. There are a few exceptions, but not many.
5. He is more succeptible to damage when he's flying, lightning magic in particular gets drawn to him in such a state.
6. As his natural elements are fire and light, he is appropriately weak to ice, water, and darkness styled attacks. This also means that he is afraid of water, and that a blizzard hinders him a lot. Strangely, night doesn't do much except amplify the effects of darkness based attacks on him.
7. He's very predictable with a staff.
8. He has locked away the Seiken skills he had learned from Beatrix, after the event in his past. This is why his magic is not that great, because in sealing away his knowledge, he also locked away a good portion of his magic. It is sealed in such a way, that it would even take him a long time to reawaken.
Powers/Weapons
Magic:
Alexander: His guardian force, his guiding light as it were. This is his only summon and it is by far his most trusted companion. Alexander uses the Holy Judgement attack. This is a powerful holy attack, however, using such an attack as Alexander heavily drains him, and he only really uses it in really tough battles, or battles where he's outnumbered immensely. Unlike most summons, whom are simply summoned, a GF lives inside of their summoner. Because of this, Nunzio has Alexanders voice in his head, keeping his mind clear and banishing his bloodlust. When seen in his mind, it appears as it does in Final Fantasy IX. However, he, like a lot of people, does not have enough strength to manifest this form outside of his mind. Instead, he summons a weaker form--the form of Final Fantasy VIII. It's still powerful, however, it's no where the level of the other 'high summons' as I'll call them. It's below Bahamut in power level, probably at the level of Titan. That's just how
Aero Blade: This is his favorite spell. It is his least damaging spell, but it is quick to come out, and it travels at a decent speed. When he uses this spell he swings his sword and releases a thin blade of wind that follows the exact trail of his slash
Reflect: Obvious. Creates a barrier around Nunzio that will reflect magic back at the caster. However, he is not a very defensive person, and so this spell must be timed exactly right or it will fizzle out before the attack hits.
Cure: A spell that he uses to keep himself out of trouble of death. It does not heal very much, simply enough to heal a few minor wounds.
Firaga: His most powerful spell outside of Alexander. This is the one he mainly uses in one on one duels, or times where he's at a disadvantage, but not enough of a disadvantage to warrant using Alexander. This fires a single powerful exploding fireball.
Haste: His version is more of a burst like augment, meant to catch the enemy off guard or augment his movement for a very short time. The burst is greater, but far shorter. It lasts one step, meaning that it can give him the impression of flash stepping, or one single quick strike.
He no longer has knowledge of the Seiken skills (Holy, Curaga, Thunder Blade, Stock Break, Climhazzard, Shock). Later on he will start to unlock them in that exact order.
Abilities: His main abilities are his abilities to use Superglide and to use Guardian Forces. He is also a very good actor, and can change his voice so that it does not give him away when he uses Xenzin.
Weapons: He has learned to use two weapons, so that he can seperate himself completely from his alias. When he is acting as Xenzin, he uses a long oak staff, meant to be used as a defensive weapon. He is not that great with the staff, though he is learning. His main weapon is a sword, and that is the weapon with which he has the most skill. It looks like a broadsword with a large blue gem in the middle of the guard. The guard itself looks like two black spines, and black vines wrap themselves around the first few inches of the blade itself. It's a one handed sword, and one that he can use with ease.
Other Information
Other: May he obtain a keyblade in a few topics? Also I am not very satisfied with this character, but my muse is not making it any better, thus, I am posting it now, and if I feel I can rewrite better, I will do so. I used a technique I've seen used in Video games before. I showed how strong he'll be at about the end, and then I nerfed him. Also I RP so that I can regain my muse. Some posts will be much better than this RP sample, others will not be. Honestly, it all depends on how my muse is for the day.
RP Sample: If you asked just about anyone when the most important time of their life was, they would say their 10th birthday, and they would be right. That day was the day that humans chose their own gods. Nunzio was one such human. Today was March 27th, his tenth birthday, the one day that he was both dreading and anticipating. This day, he would meet the Matriarch and the Gods. He was excited.
It was not long before there was a knocking on the door, and Nunzio knew that it was the Matriarch, coming to take him to the Planes of Existance, to choose the god that he would serve for the rest of his life. He opened the door, and as he had expected, there was a man dressed completely in silver, with all seven insignias on his forehead. His long silver hair certainly gave him a distinct appearance.
He beckoned to Nunzio, who nervously took his hand. The next thing he knew, he was in the Planes of Existance. It was such a holy place, that Nunzio felt overjoyed. He walked behind the Matriarch, nervous as usual, and followed him into the Dome like structure. There were seven large screens, screens that many would think of as belonging in a theatre. Each one had a different god. It felt unreal, almost as if it wasn't actually happening, as if it were a dream.
The voice of the Matriarch rang out through the room, imploring him to choose a god. He looked around and saw them all. Alyx, Gabriel, Uriel, Sophron, Xerxes, Zadkiel, and Malandra. These were the Gods that every person worshipped. He looked around and found himself being drawn toward Gabriel, the Good God of Power. He stuttered his answer, his nervousness evident to anyone who listened. The Matriarchs voice soothed him before the screens turned into the image of Gabriel. A sphere like object, with the symbol for Gabriel, floated in front of him. He was told to take hold of it, and as he did, a bright light engraved the symbol on his forehead. Nunzio Devereux had finally chosen a God.
