Alexander was sitting in the Crystal Fissure. This was one of his favorite places to visit. It was a place where many crystals would shine and no one would go this far out of the town because of the heartless and nobodies. Alexander closed his eyes as he felt the elements around him. Earth, the rocks around him, wind, the air flow around him, water, the dampness of the fissure, and fire, the warmth of the sun. Alexander had mastered most of those elements over the years and so did his sibling, Zadkiel.
Slowly a white aura slowly began to appear around him as he starts to let the power of the elements flow through him. The light from the aura around him began to reflect of the crystals and filled the fissure with many different colors. In his mind, Alexander was surrounded by orbs with a color that correspond with each element. They slowly swirled around him. Alexander was at peace and was trying to think of new spells he could use.

Jade was a man of many names. The Colonel for one, yet his most well known titles within Auldrant are 'The Necromancer' and 'the Father of Fomicry.' He was often recognized for being one of the great mages of the world. He had invented the art of replicating a person, an art he now despised. Regardless, like many mages, he had a thirst for knowledge, and a thirst to create new spells, and show them off to the world.
Perhaps that was why he had chosen Uriel for his god. Uriel was the Good God of Magic. Jade fancied himself to be on the side of good, despite his lack of problems with killing a person, and magic was his forte, his passion.
He had only gotten here four days or so ago, yet even still, he enjoyed to come to the Crystal Fissures. It was the scientist in him really, he wondered if, perhaps, the crystals found here had some property to aid magical conduction, and make a sorcerer's magic all the more powerful. Not that he needed it--cause honestly he didn't--but it was a theory that he thought worthy to pursue.
When he arrived at his destination, he noticed that there was already someone here. That was curious The person looked to be in a meditative state, and he noticed the symbol for Uriel on his forehead. Ah, a fellow Uriel worshipper was also here. He only wondered why. He also noticed the white aura around the person. Now that was unusual. He himself had been surrounded by a white aura several times, but only when he was casting a light based spell, like Prism Sword. Ah well. He had a reason to be there, and he had probably better get started.

As Alex was meditating, he could sense someone nearby, a follower of his. The aura slowly faded and slowly got up from the ground. He turned and looked at the man. Why was he here? Alex took a stance as lightning began to jolt around his hand. "Who are you and why are you here?..." Alex asked. This man could use magic and powerful ones at that but no one was better then him. If this guy would attack, he would counter instantly.
((very long muse sorry))

Jade was studying the crystals when Alex had spoken. He was trying to figure out it's composition. In his home world, there were certain materials, certain elements that amplified the seven fonons. He was scanning it to see if any of these elements were present. Sure, magic may be different, yet it was still magic, and he wanted to test the properties of non fonon casting on these crystals.
"Who are you and why are you here?" The voice was young, it seemed no more than fifteen years of age. Yet as he turned around and saw the young man with lightning jolting around his hand, he knew that this boy--for that is what it looked it like--was a powerful magic caster. He knew not to underestimate someone simply because they were younger than him, or at least, so it seemed.
Jade usually teased someone in the same position, yet this time he had an inexplicable urge to adopt his more serious persona. He had a feeling that teasing the kid in front of him would cause more harm than amusement.
"Colonel Jade Curtiss. As for why, why should I say?"
There, that seemed as good an answer as any..
)(You can see why it's hard for me to write Jade. It's been a year or two since I've played TotA. However, I still want to challenge myself to write it. So anyway, hope you enjoyed the read)(

Alex calmed down as the lightning began to fade away. He could tell this Jade character was messing around. He looked at him and noticed that he was studying the crystals. Was that the reason why he was here. "Are you here just for the crystals, Jade?..." Alex asked. The crystals here were special. They had the power to amplify one's magic. He guessed Jade was curious and decided to study them. Alex was curious about them too and wondered how they did that. "..Sorry about that Jade, I'm Alexander Ishida..." Alex introduced himself and bow slightly.

"Are you here just for the crystals, Jade?..."
Jade stopped for a second and chuckled. The kid had caught on fast. That was indeed the reason. Not that he was being overly cautious about it--he wasn't, he was more impressed with the kids continued questioning.
"haha, you sure are an observant one aren't you? Yes, that is the reason."
The rhetorical question was obviously in jest. As already stated, he was not being overly secretive about what he was doing. Indeed, it may even be obvious.
"..Sorry about that Jade, I'm Alexander Ishida..."
So that was the kids name, Alexander Ishida. Hm, well, that was good to know. It gave him a name to match to the face.
"A pleasure. Now, why are you here?"
)(Yeah, this one wasn't too great...sorry...)(

Jade was trying to be funny but it would take something very funny to get him to even smile. Alex loosened up a bit more and stayed to feel relaxed. Jade didn't seem that bad but he did keep his guard up, just in case. Then Jade asked him why was he here in the crystal fissure. "...This is the only place were the heartless and nobodies don't appear and I don't like being crowded by a lot of people like in the town..." Alex explained. He loved to be alone and away from the everyday tasks of life. This was the only place he liked and visited this place quite often. The elements here were pure and the crystals shined like the stars at night. This place was his 'hangout'.

Ah, but Jade was doing it only for his own amusement, more than anyone elses. Regardless, Jade turned back to the crystals, and appeared to be thinking. It was only when Alex spoke again that he turned his attention back to Alex.
"...This is the only place were the heartless and nobodies don't appear and I don't like being crowded by a lot of people like in the town..."
That made sense. He did notice that not one creature had come to attack them in this fissure, which was, at the time, nothing less than a small miracle. Now he obviously knew different, and that was interesting. Why did neither heartless nor nobodies show up here? There had to be some sort of explanation, and to the best of Jade's knowledge, the only thing that made it unique were these crystals.
"Hmm..these crystals must then be more special than I thought. He looked around for a flimsy piece of crystal. It obviously wouldn't show the maximized potential, but it would, at least, show him if his theory of amplifying magic was true or not. After a bit of looking, he found one flimsy and small enough that breaking it off would do no harm. He did so and channeled his magic into the crystal.
"Stalagmite!" He aimed the spell at an empty place where nothing lived or was. As he expected, the spears of earth were slightly larger than he was used to. Not a big improvement, but he didn't expect anything more. Although he was a man of science, he did not have the materials needed to determine the exact chemical structure. He would have to remedy that some time in the future.

Alex watched as jade used a spell and made a stalagmite in one part of the fissure. It seemed that he was interested in the fact that the crystals might have the power to keep the heartless and nobodies away. It was something Alex wanted to study as well but really never could figure it out by himself. Alex began to channel the element of earth through him and with a snap of his finger, a much bigger stalagmite formed with more materials then the one Jade made. "...Would that work?..." Alex said. He wanted to help Jade out and figure out the reason why the crystals had those two abilities.

Jade was quite startled when all of a sudden, a much larger stalagmite than his had erupted from the ground. He may not have been able to convert many of his spells to work without fonons, but that was an amazing display. The stalagmite had used a lot more of the earth than Jade's own version.
"Would that work?"
That kid...Alex...he was someone to watch out for. He had an amazing power level of magic, but how? Was it because Jade's was weaker? Or was it because Alex's was simply stronger? Was there some other reason altogether? Regardless, it didn't matter.
"Yes, yes it does." His spear formed in his hand and he carved out a careful sliver of the crystal he had broken off. He cursed mentally. He needed a powerful magnifying glass, so that he could observe the structure of the crystal, and he needed an oven or some thing that produced heat so that he could observe the effect heat had on the crystal. However, the Stalagmite had helped, it had provided him with something to make his own 'Oven' in and and then he could make the fire himself. The only thing he needed was a magnifying glass.

Alex was somewhat happy that he could help. Jade was a very interesting person but his spells were weaker then he thought, It was as if he was using them for the first time. Alex guess that it must be that he was from a different world. but what world would use a different type of magic? Alex was interested in this world of his and wanted to go there for himself. Alex walked over to Jade slowly. " I noticed that your magic is...different then mine. Is it because your not from this world?" Alex asked. This would answer a few questions and Alex might be able to help him since he had been using magic for about 50 years or so.

"I noticed that your magic is...different than mine. Is it because you're not from this world?"
Now Jade was interested. He was far more observant than he had thought. His guess was correct, of course. It was just about the first time he used such spells, and they did not have the effect that he had desired.
"Hmm.. Correct."
That was about all he said about the matter. It had answered Alex's question, but the fact that Alex even noticed it brought up several questions in his mind. Most prominently, who was this kid? It had suddenly got a bit more important, once Alex noticed his weakness. His expression remained unchanged.

Alex noticed a change in Jade. He was a bit interested in Alex. Alex knew that he said too much and shouldn't have said that. It was too late anyway, he had to tell him but what if he didn't believe him? Well, he would wait to see what Jade would say first. "...I can tell you are wondering about me...Well, The thing is...I'm the god Uriel, the good god of magic..." Alex said. Now knowing what will happen, from experience, they wouldn't believe him and would say something to mock him about it. Alexander look at Jade and waited to see what he would said and do at him for telling the truth.

"...I can tell you are wondering about me...Well, The thing is...I'm the god Uriel, the good god of magic..."
Jade was literally no exception to the rule. The first thing that happened was simple, complete disbelief. After all, such a thing was normal, right? Most people literally had never met a god face to face, aside from that one time at the dome. It was thought that they almost never came down. Yet, here was a guy claiming to be a god--as many had done before.
He would do nothing, regardless. If it was the god of magic, such an action would have caused more problems than anything else, and even if it wasn't, the kid in front of him was strong enough to use such high level spells, while he himself did not have access to his own spells.
"Sure....and I'm Zadkiel. Sure I'll believe that..." The sarcasm in his voice was nearly palpable. If anything it was more of a slightly subtle test. Ah well.

Alex sighed and knew he had to prove that he was the god he said he was. Alex took in a deep breath and closed his eye as the wind started to pick up. Alex's hair began to whip around violently. As he opened his eyes, they were completely white and slowly he began to hover above the ground. "...Jade Curtiss from the world of Auldrant... I, Uriel, the good god of magic, shall give you proof of my existence..." Alex explained with a the voice he used when he talked to the people in the dome. Slowly, he took his hand and pointed it at Jade and opened his hand. The mark on Alex's head began to glow blue and the mark on Jade's began to glow and his body would feel heavy and would drain his energy. This was the only way to prove to people that he was who he said he was.

"...Jade Curtiss from the world of Auldrant... I, Uriel, the good god of magic, shall give you proof of my existence..."
To be honest, that voice...that voice of the god Uriel, was all the proof he needed. Regardless, it was a bit late for that. He noticed the mark glowing, and then heaviness set in. He was brought to his knees by the energy leaving his body. He had never felt anything really like it.
In addition, the simple amount that he knew of Jade when moments before, he knew nothing of him, had also been enough to convince him. Jade gritted his teeth and attempted to get up, it was difficult, the heaviness combined with the constant drain meant that he was close to passing out. Regardless, he considered it a good training exercise if nothing else.
"...So you are." He was for once not teasing, having focused all his energy on not passing out, he again dropped to his knee. He could not stand for too long when Uriel did that. No one could.

Alex slowly lowered his hand and as the heaviness and energy drain vanished. Alex restored Jade's energy as he lowered his hand. Then, in a burst of wind, Alex fell to his knees and was out cold. Using his true powers took alot out of him. He wanted to control this power but wasn't able to fully control it yet. Alex laid there, motionless but was still breathing. As he laid there, the elements around him began to slowly give him strength again but showed no signs of it.

Jason found his way to Radiant Garden, the next world he had intended to search. However... When he had arrived, surrounded in a portal that was both light and dark, the presence of a god had appeared. It seemed that one of the gods had used their power to make themself into a human. The question remained... Who was it? Either way, he wandered the world, watching for the people as he looked for his god. It didn't take long to find as he made his way to the crystal fissure, a truly remarkable sight.
When he had arrived there, someone by the name of Jade, the memory of him taking him to the choosing of the gods ceremony very feint, and another person.... Uriel... In human form. Jason swiftly knelt to one knee as he said "My liege... What an honor to be graced in your presence outside of the Planes of Existance." He continued to kneel a bit longer before standing up and looking at the one known as Jade. "And Jade Curtiss.... It's been about 30 years, has it not?" He said, a slight smile on his face. It was thanks to his amazing memory that he could remember ALMOST everyone he had ever taken into the Ceremonial Chamber to choose their god...

Jade was quite amazed. Uriel--for that is now who he knew Alex to be--simply lowered his hand, and Jade's energy was restored. The heaviness had vanished, and he was able to stand up quite comfortably again. He noticed that Uriel seemed to be drained from using his divine power. Perhaps it was the fact that he was in a human body at the moment. Regardless of the reason, it didn't matter.
It was about that time when he heard footsteps. Someone else was coming, but the question was: who? Only time seemed to be able to tell. Sure enough, a man garbed in complete silver walked into view. It was the Matriarch of the Gods. It had been a while since he had seen him, thirty years in fact.
"And Jade Curtiss...It's been about 30 years, has it not?"
Ah so he did remember him. He had to commend the man's memory. The only real reason Jade remembered him was because his was a form that one never forgot.
"Indeed it has been, Matriarch."
Then another thought came into his head. It came seemingly out of no where, yet it seemed apt to add, with his teasing smile.
"My my, this is a regular gathering of Divinity here."

Alex felt the presence of someone very familiar to him. Alex slowly opened his eyes and sat up to see Jason. Alex watched Jason kneel and was privileged to see him in his human form. Alex just let out a sigh and looked at Jason. "...Jason, You know that I don't like it when you do that. Just treat me like a normal person." Alex slowly got up but was still a bit weak. His human body wasn't use to his powers and would do this from time to time. He looked over to Jade and sighed. " Sorry about that, I kind of get carried away once I use that power." He didn't like to use his power since they drained him very easily.
