The Birthday of Megumi

Megumi would follow the mysterious man she had met in Twilight town into the Lobby of what he called the Planes of Existence. She wasn't told much but she tried to remember how this all happened to figure it out. Megumi remembered coming out of that dark ally way in Twilight Town looking for help. Thankfully this black hooded man was kind enough to help explain were she was. After Megumi got the basic idea down she told the man it was her birthday and she was ten. Right after that the man gasped and told her that she was to go choose her God today. Megumi really didn't understand what was happening but decided it might lead her to a summoning as in her were they were close to Gods themselves.

With this he teleported them to this place and once they were in the so called Lobby he turned to her and looked down. He said in a whispering voice "It is all up to you know make your choice wisely as there is no turning back with this. He will be here soon to guild you... I will take my leave." Megumi looked at him as he disappeared into the shadows and she gasped trying to say to him "Wait.. What do you mean by this?!?! Who is he? Come back!" Sadly her words meant nothing to the man as he was long gone by now. She would stand then pondering over this whole experience.

Jason smiled when the man had brought a new child to him. Naturally she was very confused, and that was to be expected. His crystal ball told him that today was her 10th birthday. So he stepped out from the circular desk that was around him. "Ah! Megumi Anumi! Happy 10th birthday. You do know what your 10th birthday means, don't you?" He asked. Who didn't know what their 10th birthday meant. It was closing in on the time for her to choose it. As he looked at her, all 7 symbols on his head glowed. It was time to take part in the Choosing of the gods ceremony. He had to hurry though... It won't be long before the gods get angry.

As soon as the man left a man dressed in silver that caught her young eye started to walk towards her. He.... knew her name and the fact that it was her tenth birthday. She had no idea what her birthday could mean except her getting older and ready to travel the world. She would bow to him and saw in a confused voice "Why thank you my kind sir.... I am sorry I never caught your name. Also I don't mean to be rude but all I know about my birthday is that I choose a God of some sort?" She would blush at her lack of knowledge. She would then look up to notice seven symbols on his forehead they were... glowing. What were those symbols and more importantly why were they glowing?

Jason looked at Megumi with a strange look. "Me? Why I am Jason Arilani, the Matriarch and speaker of the gods." He said before putting his hand around her and ushering her toward a potted plant. "And on your 10th birthday, you choose the god that you will worship. They will introduce themselves when you get there. But they are getting angry. You must hurry." He said before stopping her right in front of a plant. "Do you have any questions before we head in?" He asked, hoping the gods weren't getting too angry.

As Megumi looked up at his glowing forehead he gave her a strange look. He then pronounced his name, his voice gentle to the young girl, it smoothed her. As he ushered her to a potted plant he gave her a final chance to ask questions but said the Gods were getting angry. She didn't want to get any Gods angry so with this she turned to him and nodded saying "Well Arilani-Sama I am ready..." Hopefully the God she decided to worship would give her the help she needed to find her father and her reason for being here. Megumi then got ready as the Matriarch would lead the way to the Gods.

Jason nodded and pressed a button, sending the two of them to a large domed room. 7 screens hung from the ceiling, a single chair sat in the middle of the room, and an orb floated a bit in front of the chair. Jason took Megumi and sat her down. He then stood of to the side and bowed to the screens. "My lieges... I bring to you... Megumi Anumi." As he said the name, the screens lit up and 7 beings appeared on the screens. One by one, they introduced themselves.

"Xerxes, The god of evil and power.", "Zadkiel, The god of evil and magic.", "Malandra, The god of evil and defense.", "Sophron, The god of neutrality and balance.", Gabriel, The god of goodness and power.", Uriel, The god of goodness and magic.", and Alyx, The god of goodness and defense."

Once they had introduced themselves, Jason turned to Megumi and said "You may ask them what you wish for the next 5 minutes. So is there anything you would like to ask them?"
