Character Description

Appearance: Thirteen's hair was originally black, but it turned white after the death of his sister, Aksel. It falls to just off his shoulders and hangs in his face a little. His eyes are a bluish purple, and he has a dark scar under his left eye. The symbol of Sophron is on his forehead, slightly covered up by his hair. He stands at about 5'4" and is underweight at a mere 103 lbs. He's naturally pale, like he hasn't seen enough healthy sunlight. He wears a dark cloak over his white shirt and black pants, usually wearing a red ribbon tied loosely around his neck.
Personality: Thirteen is relatively detached and emotionless himself. His twelve other personalities make up his entire emotional spectrum.
- Ulixes is murderous and cold. He kills just about anything that ticks him off, which is a lot. He doesn't discriminate against people, and he just kills everyone. He hates everything, and he doesn't trust anyone at all. He just looks for people to align himself with so that he'll come out on top. He's extremely fickle, and he'll change his alliances easily. He doesn't influence Thirteen that often, though, unless something really bugs him.
- Amai is generous and loving, and would probably be the easiest one of Thirteen's personalities to get along with. He's reserved and shy when you don't know him, and he seems to be the most timid of all of them. But when you get to know him, he'll practically be your best friend.
- Shinrai trusts people right off the bat. He doesn't learn from his mistakes and is stubborn just about all the time. He hates it when people tell him what to do, but he'll usually do what they say because he trusts you. Normally, Shinrai is the part of Thirteen that is the most naive.
- Gakou is the most artistic of Thirteen's personalities. He's always looking for something to draw, and he'll always carry around a sketchbook that Thirteen usually keeps on his person. Gakou has drawn just about everything in the sketchbook, most of the drawings being something from Thirteen's forgotten past.
- Iyarashii is, for lack of a better word, gross. He has no sense of personal space, and even his personality is grungy. He hates water and soap, and perfume irritates his nose. He doesn't like covering up who he is, or what he does, so he is completely disgusting in public as well. He almost never influences Thirteen, though.
- Alaire is the happy-go-lucky guy who isn't ever brought down. It's like he can't be sad. No matter what happens to him, he'll always face the world with a smile on his face. Alaire is the most childish part of Thirteen's personalities, and is a symbol of the childhood he left behind.
- Zakyou is hyper as hell. He's always bouncing off the walls when he's around other people, but when he's alone, he's just about normal. He also is the most honest of all of Thirteen's personalities, as he doesn't believe in lying. He can also see through others' lies, and points them out while still being hyper.
- Tristan is Alaire's opposite. Instead of being happy, he's always sad. He regrets just about everything that Thirteen has done or was done to him in his past. He is always moping about something, and with Thirteen's past, there is almost everything to mope about. He's never happy, and just about nothing anyone can do will make him happy.
- Saseko is Thirteen's lusty side. He'll jump on just about everything with a pulse, but he does have some control. He flirts with just about every girl he sees and tries to get into their pants. He usually fails, though. Thankfully, he doesn't come out as often as the others.
- Nemuri is lazy as all hell. He doesn't do anything, just sits around and is lazy. He doesn't expect much, though, and he doesn't expect people to pamper him like some other people. But when people do, he takes the time to enjoy it. Most of the time, he also likes to keep to himself. He's one of the lesser seen personalities.
- Ensei is the part of Thirteen that is always expecting the worst. He's just about the worst pessimist you could ever find, but he is also one of the smartest. He's the major strategist and is stubborn as all hell. He can come up with back up plans because he is so pessimistic. He doesn't ever look on the bright side, but he leaves the moping to Tristan.
- Gouman is extremely conceited. He believes that he's so much better than the other personalities and even Thirteen himself. But when someone tells him that he isn't all that and/or demeans Thirteen or the other personalities, he gets extremely defensive. Sometimes, Thirteen wonders if Gouman has MPD as well because he has extreme moodswings.
Character History
Home World: Seitai
Current World: Traveling
Key Family Members:
- mother - Yoru (dead)
- father - Ryuusei (dead)
- sister - Aksel (dead)
Personal History: Aleksei Nighthawke was born in the world of Seitai to Yoru and Ryuusei Nighthawke in the middle of a famine. Yoru and Ryuusei had had a daughter, Aksel, before Aleksei, but daughters were disowned in Seitai and Aleksei did not know her. Seitai consisted of desert after desert, and the small family couldn't survive for very long. When Yoru died a couple of years later, when Aleksei was two, he and Ryuusei had to feed on her corpse in order to sustain themselves enough to find a water source. They found it, drank from it, and made a home for themselves there.
But Aleksei missed his mother terribly. He started to get hallucinations from the desert heat, and mirages became commonplace. He'd seen his mother, he'd seen himself killing her and eating her, he'd seen so many different things that he couldn't take it and started to go insane. He went through a rough time from ages 5-8, and on his 8th birthday, he killed his father in a bout of temporary insanity.
After a couple of years, the insanity had started to increase, and by the time he was taken to the Planes of Existence to choose his God, he was nearing full on insanity. When he picked Sophron, however, he calmed slightly, but soon, then insanity started to work upon his mind again.
After that, he didn't want to go back to Seitai, not when it had so many bad memories associated with it. He instead traveled to Traverse Town, the world for those who'd lost their own. It was then that he met up with his sister, Aksel, and started to get to know her. She taught him the ways of the worlds, the ways of Traverse Town, and the ways to keep from going insane. And when he was with her, he had started to calm down.
But everything took a turn for the worst on his 12th birthday. Aleksei's newly found copy ability drew power hungry villains to him, wanting his power for their own. He refused, knowing that they would use him to kill people. When they left him, they began to target Aksel. She had no powers to speak of, except for a basic control over Blizzard magic. As his only family left alive, Aleksei protected her to the best of his ability. But the villain had control of the darkness, and he struck him across the face with darkness before imprisoning him in that same darkness, scarring his cheek under his left eye.
The villain killed Aksel in front of him. And that was the moment that Aleksei's world shattered. He broke from his prison, no longer the sweet and gentle Aleksei from before. In his place was a mindless beast, hell bent on killing this villain. Aleksei killed him, but it was a bittersweet revenge. Nothing he could do would bring his sister back to him. Killing the man who had killed his sister had drained him of his energy, and he passed out next to the body that had been the person he had loved most.
When he woke, his world turned itself upside down. He couldn't remember anything. There were voices in his head. He couldn't feel anything emotionally. And he had MPD. The trauma of his sister's death had turned his normally pure blue eyes a dark purple and his normally dark hair a pure white.
And to make it all worse, he'd been sleeping for a year.
He was 13 years old. He didn't know his name. He didn't know who he was. He didn't have anywhere to go, anyone he knew, and there were twelve other voices in his head besides his own. And his life was royally screwed. He found his ship and set off to wander the worlds, calling himself "Thirteen" on account of the thirteen voices in his head. He taught himself the ways of all of the weapons that he could find, ending up liking the sais the best.
And now, a year later, Thirteen wanders the worlds, trying to find a place that would accept him for who he is.

Aleksei slowly walked into the dome-like room where he was supposed to choose the God that he would follow. Part of him was scared, but the rest of him just wanted this done and over with. He wanted to get back to wandering, where he couldn't hurt anybody and nobody could hurt him. He moved slowly to the chair and sat down, blankly staring up at the Gods' screens. The one in the middle, the Neutral one, Sophron, caught his attention when he spoke. Neutrality... Hurting no one and helping no one. Distance and detachment. It was perfect for someone like him.
When the Matriarch, Jason Arilani, came up to him to ask him which God he wanted to worship, he immediately responded with Sophron's name. He didn't want to be of Good or Evil... He just wanted to be himself, and Neutrality would grant him that. The other Gods' faces disappear, leaving Sophron's, and a dark sphere with a purple symbol on it floated in front of him. He reached out for it, watching it disappear into his hand, and he felt a bit of a burning sensation on his forehead. It didn't take him long to realize that Sophron's mark was now burned into his forehead, but he didn't care. Balance was what he wanted, and Sophron would help him. He gave a small smile, one of the first in years.
