Character Description
Picture (optional):
Here's a second picture: i652.photobucket.com/albums/uu250/LovingMedley/lezardcoolpose.jpg
Appearance: Lezard is a man that looks somewhat older than he is. The first and most noticable thing is how pale he is. Indeed, much like Sephiroth, Lezard appears to be as pale as a ghost. He appears to not get very much sunlight. Indeed, it almost appears as if he had never set foot in the sun at all. While that is obviously false, the exposure to death magic has resulted in his current appearance. He wears round glasses, as he is farsighted. He has blue eyes, complimenting his hair and skin well. He stands at a rather average height- 5'7", and weighs about 135 lbs.
His hair is a light shade of blond, almost gray in color. He keeps it cut short and it's quite neat. He cycles between two different sets of clothing. The first is one that appears to be similar to what one would think that a student would wear at a prestigious school. His shirt is an ocean blue color, accented by the various accessories that are on it. His jeans are blue in color, and are probably made of a soft yet durable structure. That one makes him seem very sophisticated in nature. A blue cape rounds out his appearance. (it's the second picture)
His second outfit is the one that he wears the most. Like his first outfit, it looks sophisticated and noble. Unlike the other one however, the color scheme is drastically different, and it does not look like a school uniform. He wears a greenish shirt, which seems to be made of some sort of comfortable material.. His jeans are brown in color, and seem to be made of the very same material. He wears brown boots, which are made of leather. Other than that, he has a purple cape held to his body from what seems to be a belt buckle on his neck, and a belt around his midsection, which seems to be a utility belt.
Personality: To describe Lezard would only take two words to most: Insane Brilliance. Lezard is a complex character with complex motivations. Even as a child, his genius was noticable, and as a result, he tends to look down on those he views as being below him in intelligence, except for those he himself created. He views most non-humans with disdain, going so far as to insult them without remorse or regard. He views the Undead, Heartless, and Nobodies worse than any other being however, going so far as to exterminate and scorn them without any mercy at all, regardless of whether they have thoughts and feelings or not, i.e. he'd just as easily kill Namine as Xemnas.
I need not say much about the depth of his insanity. This video should show it all: www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBhksfGFiQ8&feature=related . However, it is worthy to note that he only really shows his insanity when it comes to Lenneth or when he gets excited during battle. Otherwise, he seems like a rather level headed figure. If he holds a civil conversation, his insanity is not really shown, yet the people that can do that can be counted on one hand. Another thing is that he is a highly analytical and scheming person. He can figure out how to solve a problem or how to get others to solve it for him.
However, all this is before his reincarnation. Now, his insanity and obsession over Lenneth is much much lower, though he still gets insane during battle, he overall thinks much more clearly. He’s also more logical and realistic. He is still a bit obsessed, as even the prospect of bringing Lenneth back will cause him to obsess over it, but he isn’t totally obsessed now. That is not to say he’s a good guy, cause he’s not. The god Sophron fits him well. He is still evil, to the core, as is required for most successful necromancers. He is not however, beyond helping his enemies if need be, especially against those he most hates. Also, he does not hesitate to do what he hates most.
Character History

Current World: Traverse Town
Key Family Members:
Xelion Valeth- Father
Personal History: Warning: Spoilers follow!
Lezard appears as mad and obsessed necromancer who devises a scheme to make Lenneth his at all costs. He is responsible for the deaths of Lorenta and Mystina, along with many elves that he uses to create homunculi. He believes that using the homunculi, he can provide Lenneth a body that he could claim her in and achieve godhood himself. He kills his former instructor, Lorenta, and her husband to lure the Valkyrie to his tower. Lenneth refuses to cooperate with him and thwarts his plans. Lezard escapes, but later kills himself to allow his spirit to roam Midgard freely. When Lenneth is replaced by Hrist, he uses his necromantic powers to transfer Lenneth's soul to one of his homunculi with the help of Mystina and Arngrim. After this, Lenneth is given the ability to grow in power like Odin had done. She later realizes she surpasses her lord in power and becomes the Creator.
edit Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria
Lezard is a prominent character in Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria. We first see Lezard at Chapter 2's conclusion, where he teleports the party out of Dipan Castle to save them. They wind up in the Lost Forest, where Lezard reveals he knows Silmeria is inside Alicia. They leave, and head for the Serdberg Mountain Ruins. Here, Lezard tells the group that Dipan was founded by a group of Orb Guardians who broke off from the main group, and the Orb was last left there 500 years ago. Within, Leone and Arngrim join the party. At the summit, Silmeria item reads the Dais, and Lezard informs Leone and Arngrim of her presence among them. They leave, and head for Audoula Temple on the Lake.
Lezard spies on Leone in the Surts Volcano Caverns
Lezard does not make much of an appearance until the group reaches the Surts Volcano Caverns. Within, the Dais is found, and a dead man. Leone offers to bury the man, and tells the others she will catch up. However, Lezard stays behind, and observes her conversing with the dead man. He keeps this to himself, however, and leaves.
In the Palace of the Venerated Dragon, Leone steals the Dragon Orb from Alicia, and reveals her true identity as Hrist. She kills Arngrim, and teleports out of the Palace. Alicia and Silmeria are both distraught, but Lezard comforts them, telling them they did the most that they could under the circumstances. He then accompanies the group to Dipan to save it.
In Dipan, Hrist and Silmeria duel. However, the undead mages Walther and Gyne cast the Sovereign's Rite on Silmeria and Hrist, and their souls begin to transmigrate. However, due to Lezard's time travel, a paradox occurs. Lezard was not meant to be present here, and performed acts which altered history's course.
In Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria's events, Brahms emerges from Dylan, and tries to stop the spell. Odin senses this in Valhalla, and sends Freya, who attempts to take control. She senses a distortion, and sends a wave of energy across the floor. Lezard then takes up a stance, and begins to cast magic. Freya attempts to crystallize Brahms to get him out of the way, but Silmeria Tries to stop him. However, she is hit by a crystallization spell cast by Lezard, and Brahms also ends up crystallized by Freya. The scene then ends, and we see Freya in Asgard with Odin and Brahms. Silmeria's soul has gone, as Lezard teleported away with it.
In actual fact, Brahms should never have been crystallized. Freya should have arrived, crystallized Silmeria, and Brahms stowed away with her soul.
Lezard attacks Odin atop Yggdrasil
Lezard is gone for quite some time. However, atop Yggdrasil, while Alicia and Rufus battle Odin, it is revealed Lezard has been with the group via astral projection. Odin sensed his presence. He comes out of hiding, and fights Odin. Once Odin is defeated, Lezard casts a spell on Odin. Freya teleports in, and, in shock, tells Odin Lezard was the distortion she felt. Lezard flings her into crystal, and Odin angrily attacks him for this. This is in vain however, for Lezard freezes Odin, and sends his soul into Rufus. We see Silmeria, who Lezard is using as a power source to do this. We also see what actually happened in Dipan Castle, and how Lezard obtained Silmeria's soul. Lezard kills Rufus, and takes Gungnir.
At the Water Mirror, Hrist informs everyone Lezard has created a world outside of Yggdrasil, using Silmeria's soul and the Philosophers' Stone. They depart to defeat him, and arrive at The Tower of Lezard Valeth. Within, they encounter Lenneth. She tells them however, she is not the Lenneth of that time period, but Lenneth the Creator from the future. Lezard is actually from her time, and used the Time Machine in Dipan to go back in time so he could become a god. All agree that saving Silmeria is the only way to go for now, and set off to do so. Partway up the Tower, they find Homunculus Lezard and Homunculus Silmeria. They defeat them, and from Homunculus Silmeria, Silmeria Valkyrie is reincarnated. The group ascends the Tower further, until they find Lezard.
Lezard greets everyone, but is especially pleased to see Lenneth. In fact, this was just an elaborate plot to lure Lenneth into his final trap - casting the Sovereign's Rite to be able to merge with her. He cast the spell, and is attacked by Brahms. However, Lezard has become so powerful, the attacks do nothing, and he merely takes Lenneth's soul, and leaves the party on the collapsing platform.
Brahms crystallizes Silmeria's and Hrist's souls. He tells them that someone must fuse with all three Valkyrie souls, so that the true Valkyrie can fight with Lezard on equal footing. Brahms volunteers himself, but Alicia insists it must be her. So, it is decided Alicia will fuse her soul with the Valkyries'.
Atop his Tower, Lezard is gloating over his victory. He attacks the party, but they shatter the crystal containing Lenneth's soul. Alicia absorbs them, and becomes Valkyrie. Lezard becomes furious, as Lenneth was taken from him, and launches a final assault. However, he is defeated, but not before he is able to kill Valkyrie.
If Lezard is beaten without using Valkyrie, there is a scene at the end of the game where we see a young Lezard, suggesting he was reincarnated. –This is the one I’m going to use here.
—After the fact—
What happened next, you ask? Well, after Lezard had been reincarnated, his life had continued on as usual, albeit without the obsession and madness. He was, once more, pronounced a genius from a young age. It had taken him over 60 years to reincarnate, but when he did, he seemed to have been a reformed man. It probably would have stayed that way, were it not for the Heartless.
It was at that moment that Lezard’s genius and madness shone threw. The other Lezard had known that he would die, and he did so willingly! However, he had also prepared as such. His plan was to die, get reincarnated, and then at the age of 25, a homunculus, designed by him to seek him out and attack him at said time, would make the other Lezard fall to near death. From there, The other Lezards powers and memories would merge with his own. The only thing that prevented him from becoming just as he was before, was the fact that his reincarnation was completely different. The other Lezard had counted on the two being exactly alike. But perhaps, it is even worse this way.
In any case, with his newly returned powers, he easily decimated the Heartless, whom he now viewed as inferior beings, not even worthy to exist. But he was too late. The planet began to crumble around him after he had finished off the last Heartless. In desperation, he put himself into a coma after encasing himself in a solid diamond crystal. The idea was that he would be able to survive space in this crystal.
Indeed, it did exactly as he had hoped for. He crash-landed on Twilight Town, where the crystal broke and he was freed. It did take him a bit of time to get used to using his muscles again, but soon he was fully recovered. He now searches for a purpose, or a way to revive Lenneth. He knows that she is dead, she was after all, the protector of the planet. She would be bound to try to save it, and she would be bound to crumble alongside it.

+Intelligence
Dislikes:
-Anything non human. Heartless, Nobodies, Elves, Monsters, Undead…they all fall into this category.
-People who get in the way of his goals
-Eavesdroppers
-Not getting what he wants / Losing / Being Outwitted
-People who consider themselves gods
-Weakness
Goals: At the moment, he honestly doesn’t know. His goal is probably to get back Lenneth, except he doesn’t know how yet, so other than that, his main goal is to find himself a goal.
Strengths and Weaknesses:
+ His magic is phenomenal.
+ He can think quickly and analyze things to the closest detail
+ He has a lotta magic.
+ He has Great Magic, which serve as crowd clearers or Limit Breaks so to speak.
+ He also has quite a few abilities.
+ Great Magic is only interruptable by his death.
+ He is powerful with his magic.
- His defense is abysmal.
- Ditto with life.
- He is prone to insanity, thus getting rid of one of his advantages-the quick thinking.
- He has nothing in the way of physical attacks.
- He will not learn any new spells or abilities. What he has now, is what he'll have at the end of the RP. The only exceptions are if he somehow is gifted with a Keyblade or a Summon, which is not likely.
- Some magics take a while to recharge, or are easy to get away from.
- He cannot use the Great Magics like candy. He has to gather up energy for them first. He also has to have his Monster Manifesto with him to channel the magic. Each Great Magic is derived from a different spell. Also, in order to use a Great Magic, he must first cast the magic it's based on, this means that if you know which spells correlate with which Great Magic, you can predict his strongest magic and can thus prepare yourself to dodge or block.
- He has no support skills. His strategy consists of teleporting away from danger.
- He's left open for a small time before and after he teleports. Attacking him before he teleports prevents him from teleporting.
- A lot of his abilities require time, much like Great Magic. Unlike Great Magic, attacking him during an ability prevents the ability from happening.
Powers/Weapons
Magic: Lezard, having dedicated his life to the study of Magical Arts, has a great deal of magic, divided into two catagories. Now, to many, it seems like he has perhaps too many. This would be true, if he had any sort of weapon that he knew how to use, or even his fists. It would also be true if he learned more. Neither of these is the case.
Here is a list:
Dark Savior:Three blades impale the enemy in a triangle pattern. 3 Hits Darkness-Elemental. This one of his strongest spells, and like the other power spells, this takes time to recharge.
Fire Lance: Two fire spears hit the enemy. 2 Hits. Fire-Elemental. His version of Fire. Is Fira in strength.
Icicle Edge: Three Icicles fall from the sky. 3 Hits. Ice-Elemental, may freeze enemies. His version of Blizzard. Is Blizzara in strength.
Lightning Bolt: 3 Hits. Lightning shoots towards the enemy from the caster. Extremely slow to recharge. Lightning-Elemental. Unlike Thunder--which hits once and comes from above, Lightning Bolt comes from his hand in a direct line in front of his hand, and hits 3 times. He cannot use the conventional Thunder, Fire, or Blizzard Spells. Heck, for that matter, he can't perform any of the spells that are used in Kingdom Hearts. This is a spell of Thundara strength.
Mystic Cross: Stars of light hit the enemy. 4 Hits Light-elemental. This is one of his 'Power Quartet'. That is, this is one of the four spells that does the most damage. This one also has one of the two best great magics, Celestial Star. In exchange however, using either of these renders him unable to cast magic for a small time (1/3 the time of Lightning Bolt)
Prismatic Missile: Multi-colored beams of light strike the enemy. 5 Hits. Lightning-Elemental, may cause many different status anomalies. Poison, Paralyze, Freeze, Weaken, Petrify, and Confuse in VP2.
+Causes all sorts of status ailments to his foes.
+Has Limited homing capabilities
-Easily misses people directly in front of him or short foes.
-Doesn't home all that well...i.e. It's still pretty easy to sidestep it unless you're really far away.
-Each missle is 1/6 the power of fire. Thus the entire spell overall is 5/6 the power of fire. Thus he typically doesn't use it for anything except to use Gravity Blessing.
Sacred Javelin: 5 Spears of light drop from the heavens onto the enemy. 5 Hits. Light-Elemental. One of the four powerful spells. This one also takes a while to charge.
Shadow Servant: Three hooded phantoms pop up under the enemy. 3 Hits. Dark-Elemental. The last of the four powerful spells.
Great Magic: These magics take a lot out of him, and thus he can only use one per battle. These do fantastic damage, but if the opponent escapes the rather large blast radius, he is vulnerable for 5 posts.
Calamity Blast (from Fire Lance) "The time of exorcism is at hand! Venemous servants, unleash thy dark flames! Calamity Blast!" 5 Hits A cloud of fire appears in the sky and shoots fireballs at the enemy for large explosions. Fire-Elemental.
Celestial Star (from Mystic Cross) "Ye must desire rest from thy empty existence. Thou shalt have it. Celestial Star!" 7 Feathers floating in the air become halos of light that shoot down explosive beams of light at the enemy. Light-Elemental.
Cosmic Spear (from Dark Savior) "If ye trust that thy eternal bonds may be broken, then let my words be as a vengeful blade upon thee! Cosmic Spear!" 1 Hit A gigantic spear spins in midair, then catches fire and careens into the enemy. Dark-Elemental.
Crystal Strike (from Icicle Edge) "Surely thou can feel it. Thy days are numbered! Thy death is at hand! Crystal Strike!" 2 Hits The enemies are encased in a tetrahedron of ice, which is then pierced on all sides. Ice-Elemental.
Dragon Bolt (from Lightning Bolt) "As the harmoniums of Asgard sound, their very melodies stir the ancient lightning to wake! Dragon Bolt!" 4 HitsA skeletal lightning dragon flies through all the enemies. Hideously slow to recharge. Lightning-Elemental.
Gravity Blessing (from Prismatic Missile) "Hark! Lightning that writhes within the ashen depths, descend now in a storm upon thy foe! Gravity Blessing!" 3 Hits A sphere of gravity descends on the enemy. Way too slow to recharge, damage not that great comparatively. Lightning-Elemental. Meteor Swarm (from Shadow Servant) "No mercy for the damned! Thus thou hast no escape from the grasp of catastrophe! Meteor Swarm!" 7 Hits A bunch of meteors hit the enemy (duh!). . Dark-Elemental.
Seraphic Law (from Sacred Javelin) "Ye of detestable name and virtue, false apostle, thou art bade back to the abyss. Seraphic Law!" 3 Hits Motes of light gather into a gigantic laser beam in mid-air, then shoot at the enemy. Light-Elemental.
Abilities: He does have quite a few abilities. He can teleport, he can levitate, and he has an analytical mind that is a valuable asset. More than that, he possesses the ability to create homunuculi.
He teleports two different ways. To teleport long distances, a pentagram forms underneath him and where he will end up. Otherwise, he disappates into sand which will gather at the point where he will end up.
He has also shown the ability to create an animal--usually a cat--and speak through them.
Weapons: His only weapon is his book, the Monster Manifesto, which he uses to channel his magics through. Other than that, he is adept in no weapon.
Other Information
Other: In the first game, when you fight him, he has access to every single magic in the game, including the Great Magics. Though, he doesn't have that magic when you recruit him from the Seraphic Gate, sadly. That's basically the reason I gave him all of them here. In the second game, *SPOILERS HERE! I think I'll make it kinda hard to read.*Hesendshimselfintothepast, inordertogetLenneth, andthuschangesevents, inordertoluretheLennethheknowsintoatrap. Succeedstoo, untilAliciacomesalong.*End Spoilers* *inhales* *sighs* Okay. The description of the spells come from GameFAQs. A video of the Great Magics is here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUPQQnSpr-Q&feature=related . It includes the spells used for each and every Great Magic. In Valkyrie Profile, none of the spells are exclusive to one mage. If you decide to, you can teach anyone every single spell in the game, though there are limits. Since I'm not giving him any support magic, he can use every one of the combat magics. Most everything I gave him, he has available to him in one of the two games. I just hope I haven't made him too overpowered, I tried to make sure he had plenty of weaknesses.
In the first game, Lezard is only playable in an optional area called the Seraphic Gate. There he doesn't have all the spells that he does as a boss, he does have quite a good selection. Still, for all intents and purposes, I decided to use his Boss form. You can only use him once in the Main story for the Good Ending only. There he has Dark Savior as his default spell, and you can't change it, since he's only playable in that one battle. Still, his stats are higher than any magician in the game that are at his exact same levels. To be honest, I'm expecting to have to alter it. I am not very pleased with it at all. Regardless, I should probably give you an idea of Lezard, so here it is...
RP Sample:
Lezard Valeth was, by all means, an unusually busy ten year old. Whereas many ten year olds were just about in Middle School, young Lezard was moving his way through a university, quickly at that. His tenth birthday saw him writing a thesis for his university. He knew, of course, of the legends of gods, but by all means, he considered them myths. He thought that the only gods were the ones that Midgard had, the ones such as Freya and the like. He never even paused to consider otherwise.
Thus, when he heard a knocking, instead of being apprehensive and nervous, he was annoyed. Someone was taking time which could be better used for studying or the like to come and prank him. That was the disadvantage of being half the age of everyone else around, he was often the target for pranks. He didn't let it bother him, though, he told himself that if he retaliated, it would bring him down to their level, and that would do no one any good.
Naturally, when he saw a strange man wearing nothing but silver, he assumed that he was an enemy. He held a stance that would allow him to easily use magic. He had not yet progressed to a point where his spells would be anything but a nuisance, but that instance would be used to go and summon help. Help that would be most direly appreciated.
The man smiled goodnaturedly and spoke in a placating and calming voice, said that he was Jason Arilani, the Matriarch of the Gods. Lezard had laughed, for he thought it naught but a joke. Jason simply put his hand on Lezards shoulder and they were instantly off. That was when he began to get worried. Why would anyone kidnap him? That was what he thought had happened. He looked around, the place was barren, with the exception of a large dome. Lezard was too weak at that time to fend off anyone, much less a man who seemed to radiate power. He followed along silently, afraid of what would happen at the end.
It was nothing like he expected. He was led into the great dome, and there he saw seven different screens. Each screen seemed to have a different entity. One was a ninetailed fox for example. He looked around and listened as Jason told him to choose a god. He randomly pointed toward the one in the middle. There, he saw what seemed to be some kind of lion. He heard Jason call it Sophron, the God of Balance. Hm.. that seemed rather interesting,so he had chosen who the strange man in silver called the Balance God. If this was not some elaborate ploy, Lezard mused that it fit him. That was what he wanted to do at the time, after all, maintain balance.
An orb of light appeared in the middle of the dome, as each of the screens became that singular image of Sophron. A crest shined with a brilliant light with a crest in it's center. He was told to take it in hand, and as he did so, he mused it may not have been wise. Still, he had gone this far... He touched it, and the world faded to black...
[TOPIC] If your character is 10 or older (For animals, 5 or older), RP You in the choosing the god ceremony in the Planes of Existance. Description of the world is posted below. If you are younger then 10 (For animals, younger then 5) just make up a random RP sample.
[DESCRIPTION OF THE CHOOSING THE GOD CEREMONY] A large dome like room with 7 large screens showing the gods and actually speaking to the person. When you walk in, you sit in a chair and listen to each god speak to you. Jason Arilani then speaks to you and tells you to choose your God. Once you do, the other gods disappear, the symbol of the god floats in the sphere floating in front of the chair. The god takes over all of the screens and you are told to take the symbol from the sphere. When you do, your foreheads bears the signia of your choice.
